I am an artist and sociologist currently working in the Sir Joseph Swan Institute at Newcastle University. I am the coordinator of RCE North East, a network of formal and non-formal educational institutions, groups and projects working towards transforming learning across our region. My work has included the development of the outreach programme for the HERO group, Institute for Research on Environment and Sustainability and Sir Joseph Swan Institute at Newcastle University. I currently hold a Beacon for Public Engagement Fellowship in Durham and Newcastle Universities. I have two teenage children.
